Christos Kavouklis is working with Dr. Phillip Colella in the Applied Numerical Algorithms Group of the Computational Research Division on the fast computation of volume potentials on structured grids using the method of local corrections.
He obtained a doctorate degree in Engineering Mechanics from the University of Texas at Austin where he worked on adaptive 3D hybrid meshes for CFD and a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of Delaware. Originally from Greece, he studied Mathematics at the University of Athens. Chris joined NERSC in June 2011 after completion of his military service.
